History

The British-Albanian Lawyers Association evolved from a group, which was established in 2015 by Brikena Muharremi, a London based barrister, in order to promote co-operation between Albanian and British lawyers based in the United Kingdom, Albania and Kosovo with the aim of advancing the knowledge of law, promoting the Rule of Law and access to justice, supporting future generations of lawyers and to improve relations between the legal professions in the United Kingdom, Albania and Kosovo.

The Association was officially launched on 16th January 2016 at the Kosovo Embassy in London under the patronage of the Ambassador of the Republic of Kosovo to the UK and in the presence of lawyers and representatives from Albanian community organisations in the UK.
